2. Quotes

Quotes are based on the information you supply, including the dimensions and type of the unit and the collection and delivery locations. Quotes are estimates and remain valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. A quote may be revised where the actual circumstances differ from the information provided. All prices are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate (currently 20%).

3. Bookings and payment

A booking is confirmed once you have accepted the quote and paid the required deposit. Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • A 50% deposit is payable immediately to reserve your booking and secure your date.
  • The remaining 50% balance is due once the unit has been loaded onto the delivery vehicle, before transport commences.

Payment details are provided on your invoice. We reserve the right not to commence or continue transport until due payment has been received.

4. Accuracy of information

The Customer confirms that all dimensions, weights, access details, and site information provided are accurate, complete, and based on actual measurements of the unit to be transported. This includes (but is not limited to):

  • Overall length
  • Overall width
  • Overall height
  • Weight (if known)
  • Presence of protrusions or fixtures

5. Responsibility for incorrect information

The Transporter relies entirely on the information supplied by the Customer when planning the move, including vehicle selection, route planning, permits, notifications, and escort requirements. If any information provided is incorrect, incomplete, or misleading, the Transporter shall not be held responsible for:

  • Delays
  • Abortive loads
  • Failed or postponed moves
  • Additional equipment or vehicles required
  • Damage arising from incorrect information

6. Abortive loads and additional charges

If the move cannot proceed as planned due to incorrect dimensions or site information, the Transporter reserves the right to abort the move, return the unit to the collection point, or reschedule the job. In such cases, the Customer agrees to be liable for all additional costs incurred, which may include:

  • Abortive load fees
  • Additional permits or notifications
  • Escort vehicles
  • Crane hire or specialist plant
  • Driver waiting time
  • Rebooking or rescheduling charges
  • Storage of the unit at an alternative location

7. Legal and permit compliance

Static caravans and park homes are frequently classed as abnormal loads. Where incorrect information results in invalid permits or notifications, or non-compliance with road traffic regulations, the Transporter may refuse to proceed with the move without penalty, and all associated costs shall be borne by the Customer.

8. Insurance limitation

The Customer acknowledges that insurance cover may be invalidated where loss or damage arises directly or indirectly from incorrect dimensions or information supplied by the Customer. In such circumstances, liability shall rest solely with the Customer.

9. Right to survey

The Transporter reserves the right to request photographic evidence or require a pre-move site or unit survey. Failure or refusal to provide requested verification may result in the job being delayed or cancelled.

10. Customer responsibilities

In addition to providing accurate information, the Customer is responsible for ensuring safe and adequate access for our vehicles and equipment at both the collection and delivery sites, and for obtaining any permissions required from a site owner, park operator, or landowner before the agreed date. Personal belongings and loose items should be removed or secured unless otherwise agreed.

11. Cancellations and rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible. Cancellations made at short notice, or where costs (such as permits or escort booking) have already been incurred, may be subject to a charge. Deposits may be non-refundable where costs have already been committed on your behalf.

12. Liability

We carry out all work with reasonable care and skill and hold appropriate insurance. Subject to the sections above, we are not liable for pre-existing defects, or for loss or damage caused by the condition of the unit, unsuitable access, inaccurate information provided by you, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

13. Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

By confirming a booking, the Customer confirms acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and acknowledges responsibility for the accuracy of all information provided.
